When working with very important files and having many of them stored on your hard disk, it's essential to keep a backup of all your important data and to update it regularly. In this way, you will avoid the inconvenience of losing all your personal and important data and having to re-create them from scratch. The problem is to find the right tool for the job. Most of the backup applications on the market allow creating backups on the hard disk but in case this crashes, you will lose your original files and your backups at the same time. Fortunately, there is BatchSync FTP, a simple Windows application which allows you to back up and synchronize all your files with a FTP location.

In this way, even if your hard disk crashes, you will still have the backed up files and folders on a secure FTP drive. After loading BatchSync FTP, the user will be able to create a new backup task by using the simple step by step wizard. The first step is to select the type of backup operation that should be performed, either download, upload, two-way and so on. After that, the location of the original files and the details regarding the FTP server should be configured. For this, the username, password and server address should be entered.

After completing all these steps, a final wizard window will be displayed, which will display the status of the connection to the FTP server. Advanced users can add backup tasks manually, by using the New button. This will allow synchronizing files with locations found on the same hard disk, memory stick or another hard disk, not just with FTP servers. Still, manually adding sync tasks is not recommended for beginners, as there are a lot of settings to be made.

The history section of the program's interface is able to display all the past backup tasks and even the current ones, allowing the user to spot any possible errors.

Pros

It allows you to sync and back up all your important files and folders on a FTP location or another location on the hard disk or memory stick. Besides that, it includes a simple step by step wizard which anyone can use. Furthermore, advanced users can take advantage of the large number of options and settings available.

Cons

Manually configuring the backup task may pose problems to beginners. BatchSync FTP allows you to easily sync and back up all your files on a FTP location or on a USB memory stick, by using a simple step by step wizard.
